Sorrow is Not Our Name: LGBTQ Legal Leaders Speak after the Repeal of Roe v. Wade

|

In the last two years, our country has witnessed escalating attacks against people of color, LGBTQ people, and immigrants. Whether we are talking about voter suppression, anti-critical race theory laws, denying trans youth access to health care, family separation, or the repeal of Roe v. Wade, the far right is manipulating Black and Brown trans communities as a divisive wedge issue to galvanize their base. These tactics are nothing new and part of a growing global trend towards authoritarianism. Regardless of the tactic, these attacks are rooted in a historical denial of our bodily autonomy.

Hear from legal experts, grantmakers, and organizers at the frontlines of intersectional LGBTQ movements, who are rooting within trans and racial justice frames to not only respond to this moment but to move towards liberation. More details and speaker information are to be announced soon!
