Our Partners

Groundswell Fund partners with grassroots organizations in the South, Midwest, Southwest, and occupied U.S. Territories that are building power at the intersection of bodily autonomy and democracy.

Building Power Together

These organizations lead community organizing that protects rights, strengthens democratic participation, and builds new systems of care, governance, and economic life.

Through a focused cohort of partners, Groundswell concentrates resources where movements are organizing to defend freedom and shape the future.

Partnership Model

Groundswell works with a cohort of organizations building durable grassroots power.

In addition to grantmaking, we support partners through capacity-building resources for planning and strategy, shared learning spaces, and opportunities to connect across movements and regions through communities of practice. This approach strengthens the leadership, infrastructure, and relationships that movements need to sustain their work and build on our legacy of trust-based philanthropy.

Visibility and Consent

Organizations operate in different political environments and may face risks when their work becomes highly visible. For this reason, participation in public storytelling through Groundswell’s website and communications is voluntary.

Partners may choose whether they want to be featured publicly, and some organizations may remain unnamed.

Stories from the Field

Groundswell works to amplify the leadership and ideas emerging from movement organizations across the country.

As partners opt into public visibility, stories and organizational profiles will be featured to highlight how grassroots movements are defending rights and building new democratic possibilities.
