The Catalyst Fund

The Catalyst Fund: Resources for Women of Color in Reproductive Justice was developed by the Women of Color Working Group of the Funders Network on Population, Reproductive Health and Rights to increase resources to U.S.-based women of color led reproductive justice efforts.

Recognizing, in the words of one member, that "the persistent shortage of funding for an entire sector of women is weakening the ability of all women in the U.S. to secure their reproductive rights," the Working Group also recognized that, "funders have the power and responsibility to reverse this trend." The Catalyst Fund was created as the vehicle by which funders could act on that power and take that responsibility.

The Catalyst Fund's goal is to build a stronger, more effective U.S. movement for reproductive justice by mobilizing new funding and capacity building resources to women of color-led efforts in this arena.
