Groundswell’s 2021 Reproductive Justice Impact Report is being released in mid-June, along with a microsite. The briefing is scheduled for June 23 and registration information will be shared on May 18.

This year we worked with Informing Change to survey eighty organizations whose work is represented in the report. Organizations have programs in 49 of 50 states (all except West Virginia), as well as the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Additionally, for the first time since Groundswell began surveying its grantees, the online space (as a unique site for organizing) was a top location.

Nineteen organizations (24%) reported “virtual space/online” as a program site. Only California with 20 grantees (25%) was a location for more programs.

Organizations also worked with over fifty tribal nations, including the Pojoaque, Tesuque, San Ildefonso, Santa Clara, Ohkay, Owingeh, Nambe, Picuris, Taos, Jemez, Santa Domingo, San Ildefonso, Dina, Ute, Apache, Wichita, and Navajo.

Join us on June 23 to learn more about the results, how reproductive justice was used as a powerful organizing principle in 2021, and what this means for our future in a potential post-Roe society.
