Groundswell Fund is proud to announce a transformative collaboration with Ms. magazine: the launch of Gender & Democracy.
This initiative is dedicated to highlighting the struggles and victories of grassroots leaders who are leading the fight for our collective liberation.
Ms. magazine launched Women & Democracy in 2021 with the goal of creating a “one-stop shop for connecting the dots among gender, right-wing extremism, violence, attacks on democracy, and the rise of authoritarianism.” Groundswell Fund is proud to expand this series with Gender & Democracy, a site dedicated to the work of Groundswell Fund and Groundswell Action Fund’s grantee partners.
The Gender & Democracy series serves as a repository of stories and reflections, showcasing the work of those who are building power in their communities, challenging systemic injustices, and fostering participatory democracy. By centering these voices, the platform underscores the critical role of intersectional organizing in shaping a more equitable society.
By partnering with Ms. Magazine, we aim to amplify the impact of our grantees and bring greater visibility to the essential work being done to uphold democratic values and human rights.
