Foundations Relations Associate

she/they

Rose is a community organizer, campaign manager, and operations specialist who has spent her entire career in nonprofit and philanthropy spaces. She is passionate about fighting for reproductive justice and liberation in the south, and leverages her love of systems to build relationships and people power.

Before joining the Groundswell Fund team, she served as the Operations Manager at JustFund where she managed finances, human resources, and people operations. She has a love for operations work and building powerful people-centered systems that allow social change organizations to thrive. Rose also worked as a Community Organizer with the Charleston Area Justice Ministry, where she ran the Affordable Housing Trust Fund and Transit Frequency is Freedom campaigns. She’s done activist work on several food justice campaigns regionally and nationally with the Farmworker Movement.

Outside of Groundswell Fund, Rose is a personal trainer and loves helping folks fall in love with strength training and kettlebells. She’s passionate about making the “fitness” industry more accessible and joyous, and specializes in training folks who are new to lifting or have felt excluded in mainstream gym spaces. She also loves some good old fashioned step aerobics, which she promises is still cool.

Rose holds a Masters in Public Administration from University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, and a Bachelor’s in English Literature and Women’s Studies from the University of Central Florida. Outside of work she loves baking, reading, riding her bike, and obsessively logging movies on Letterboxd.
