Lyles is proud to support Groundswell’s fundraising to move urgently needed resources to the reproductive justice movement. They were born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina, with one side of the family hailing from Fairfield County, SC, and the other from Bdadoun, Lebanon. Before joining Groundswell, Lyles served on the staff of Southerners On New Ground for five years in both field organizing and fundraising capacities to advance the organization’s work for LGBTQ liberation in the South. Lyles co-founded the Carolina Youth Action Project (formerly known as Girls Rock Charleston) and helped launch the organization’s after-school program aimed at diverting youth from the school to prison pipeline. Lyles is passionate about leveraging resources to build the political power of pro-Black, pro-LGBTQ, pro-woman, pro-poor, pro-earth, and pro-immigrant movements in the US South and across the country.
